decided to take some pics of the tC

So I washed the new car for the first time yesterday. Didn't have time to wax her but I will soon. It rained all last night. Luckily I have a covered space at my apartment complex so only the hood got wet. Dried it off and took her out looking for some good photo spots. Found a bunch all within a mile of my apartment. I live across the street from William's Brice Stadium which is where the Gamecocks play. Anyway, here are some of the better shots from the morning...enjoy!

The are 1280x960 so be forewarned. All are about 200kb each

shoulda gotten the other spoiler, then it woulda looked halfway decent.

I wanted to and had originally planned on it but it was either take this one or have one ordered and I didn't want to wait. They said they had this color, 5spd, and the pedestal spoiler in NC but apparently it got sold before they could get to it. So I took this one. And she doesn't look bad without it. I think she looks decent as she sits. She needs a name tho...the mazda was named Veronica...still thinkin for a name for the tC.

tC is pretty neat. With a little drop, itll be hot. Wings are gay, stay wingless. A wingless tC looks like an angry turtle.....and people are scared of turtles!

If you have not owned a black/dark car, heed my advise!

1: Make sure you rinse the car the best you can to get loose dirt off the car. If there is still dirt on the car, when you apply a sponge/mit to the car, you drag dirt over the clear coat.

2: Use two buckets for washing. One is for soap and crap, the other is for rinsing your sponge with.

3: Use very light pressure with a sponge. I suggest a car washing mit/glove thing.

4: Do not work in cirlces, go straight side to side!

5: Wax the car ASAP.

yea my MSP was black so i know about the scratches and such. It's already showing in bright sunlight. Gonna try to wax her this weekend. I've got the NXT tech wax that i'm gonna use. i try to take it to those high pressure wash stations. use the water gun and blast the dirt away. then i wash the whole car with a sponge and my soap. then blast it all off with the water. and i only recently found out not to work in circles. thanks for the info tho

haha, thats great, didn't notice that...no turbo in the works but i am seriously considering the supercharger. got more important things to worry about tho so we'll see

real nice man the tc is a sweet car i like them a lot i actually thought about one when the first came out. Enjoy it keep us posted on the mods ya do (thumb)

Well there is someone out there is a dragging it on stock internals at like 20-something lbs of boost, so I would assume it's a pretty damn strong motor. The supercharger I think pushes 5lbs. I know of one turbo kit inparticular that puts out 7lbs and brings the WHP up to 255. Not bad on 7lbs. 300WHP is easily attainable with this motor and for a lot less than people would think. I for one like that brakes are relatively cheap. It uses the same parts as the celica gts so stuff is already out there. As for the handling it's sub-par right now. It definately needs to be lowered and some stiffer shock/struts added. I've got some TRD springs on the way as well as a TRD front strut bar. Soon after I'll buy the Hotchkis front and rear sway bar kit. After that I might consider buying new shocks/struts depending on how she's handling or I may just wait till they need to be replaced. My brother just bought the Hotchkis TVS Stage 1 Kit which is a front strut bar, front and rear sway bars, and springs. The TRD springs I ordered are a 1.25 drop all around. The Hotchkis springs he is getting are I think 1.7 front and 2.0 rear. I think it's cool we both have the same car and are going different routes with it. Should be interesting to see how different our tastes are. Anyways, keep the questions and the comments flowing.
