What I was trying to say is.....

If you want to run a tire that narrow, get rims that are the correct width...

you can use a jack with a very small cup, just use a 2x4 to put between the jack and the car, distributes the weight much more efficiently and no worries about the jack going through our rusty floors!

Now that's a good idea, I'll run a few pieces of 2x4 over a table saw that way I'll have a nice groove to lock the wood onto the frame rail. That should distribute the load much better, thanks!

BTW, nice to see another local 'round here

I just bought my 2002 P5 2 weeks ago and I'm in love!!!!! I made a HUGE upgrade from my 1995 Protege LX with ~213k miles... which started my Protege fire.

Today, I ordered LED headlights (high- and low-beams) and some new gauge cluster LEDs. All are in "Xenon White." I had the 8000K HIDs on my last Protege and I'm wanting to try something a little newer and direct. However, I do have a new set of 3000K HIDs for the fogs that will be going in soon. As soon as I get everything in, I will post before and after pics. I'm hoping the white LEDs offset my Pioneer head unit's blue color nicely.

LED headlights? I hope you didn't get the show only bulbs that look cool but put literally almost no light on the road.

That's a good idea too. Coming from a guy who may have a rustier P5 than you do... I usually use any solid suspension mounting point when this is the case. I usually support the car on jack stands where the front control arm bushing bracket is located in the front. For the rear, I use the place where the TTL's attach to the rear subframe. It seems to work for me there.
