Constant power draw on battery

i've nearly finished my carputer installation.
i usually unplug the computer at night just to prevent any random startups.

well i left it plugged in last night and when i went to start my car before work it sounded lousy.

so i measured the current draw while the puter is off, and it was .008 amps.( that's right after pluggin it in) not bad huh,
but when the computer is turned off, it's ~.114 amps

now what i'm wondering is, will ~1 watt constant drain kill my battery in a day?

I suppose there's prettymuch one way to figure out... just make sure you've got jumper cables and a friend handy. Better yet, just park on a hill...

PS What PSU are you using?

the m1-itx "intelligent PSU"
i'll probally do that then, lol

oh yeah and the amp on switch doesn't work anymore, then i read don't hook up the GND on the jumper, might be related.

Well depending on the battery you have, it should have an Amp Hour(AH) rating. It might be on the label somewhere. I think about 50AH is a fairly normal number, so 50AH / .114A = 438 hours
It should be ok.

yeah, good point, it must have been that i was using the puter a lot with the car off that day.
i just wish the psu would cut power when i turn the puter off

i was thinking of that, but i'd need it to work with the PSU.
i think it has to do with the off button, maybe the puter freezes on shutdown.
because i'll come out to the car and it will have the fans running.
i'm just going to leave it on and let the PSU do it's normal shutdown thing within 30 min
