its not dead, please just use the subforums, that way your post will get more attention.. but to answer your question, I have a 6i 5door and the best I've seen has been 30.08mpg, whereas my average highway miles have been 28mpg. I've also seen as low as 19mpg in Philadelphia traffic.
With a mix of highway (around 50mph) and city (25-35mph including stop + go) I get about 27mpg in the winter time and around 29mpg in the summer on a 2004 6i MTX.
I set my tires to 35psi as I find I get better cornering and mileage that way.
mpg for 6smtx>or=6iatx The mpg gets better as long as you don't get into afaster car than the 6. when you drive a faster car than the 6 you tend to floor it more to get=speed of the car you recently driven. I tried babying and beating methods and they are like a 1 mpg difrence.
