Ontario racing parts prohibition
Here it is folks, the official copy of the Bill you will love to hate. The Ontario government is working to pass this as we speak, and I suggest you get on the letter writing campaign to your MPP, spreading the word far and wide that while street racing crackdowns are not necessarily bad, prohibition of our hobby cars and performance parts is dead wrong. If this passes, any modification to your car from nitrous oxide to exhaust and intakes or as stupid as a type R seatbelt pad may be deemed to be a racing part (the government gets to make up the list of parts and substances) and would net you a hefty fine, impoundment and immediate surrender of parts.

Sound the alarm kids, this one is serious!!! Stand up for your rights as a hobbiest now, or get used to driving non-descript automatic corollas to avoid hassles and fines (you get the idea...).

Sections in question are about 2/3 through the bill, with application at the end. Prescription of those parts deemed racing come after the bill passes in regulations that are not subject to a vote, or public consultation in the legislature.

Bill 241
