Brake Squeal

I've seen the different discussions on the brake squeal issue, but from the TSB, the fix is for pre-Oct2004 cars. My car was built in Jan and generates a huge amount of brake squeal. Especially when its wet out. Did the fix not work? Does it go away with mileage? Only 1.1k here. (friday)

Hard to say. TSB or not, if it doesn't go away soon, take it in for warranty service. You'll have to do it before 12K, though.

Thanks. If its still there at the first oil change, its going in. Just hoping for a TSB to back me up. - tc

If it's a serious enough problem, they will fix it. My rotors were resurfaced at only 9000 kilometers do to moderate to extreme wobling and vibration in the steering wheel when hard braking action was required.

My car is an '05 and they squeak too on some cold mornings and after rain.
