    Latest Infotainment System Update

I installed 59.00.540 last night and so far the only difference I notice is a significant improvement in boot up time. I haven't noticed anything else. On the last version, I would get the Mazda logo for a while and it would eventually load. Often times it could take a minute or 2. Now the...

2016 CX-9 Compass and other useless features

1)While I agree the compass implementation could be improved, your reasoning is flawed. The sun does not always set due west and the compass on the CX-9 doesn't adjust by degree, I believe it goes W, NWW, NW, NNW, & N in 22.5 degree increments. 2)The traffic data is from HD radio. It is less...

    2016 CX-9 Infotainment System problems - V59 Update

Looks like I do. I ran through the sequence twice and it happened both times. I am ok with the default settings so I don't have a desire to change this. If I did, I would be really annoyed as this seems like basic functionality.

    2016 CX-9 Infotainment System problems - V59 Update

I updated my car to V59 and the most recent map update. I followed the guide over on mazda3revolution and everything went smoothly. It took under an hour. 48 hours in and no boot loops or nav loading issues. All of the major issues I had with V58 look to be fixed. There are still a few minor...

    2016 CX9 Owners Thread

I recently had infotainment issues and found that disabling all service reminders in the vehicle status monitor app cures boot loops. I was up to 3-4 continuous boot loops when I started my car and now have none. Maybe give that a try. I have a love hate relationship with this infotainment system.

    2016 CX9 questions

I also need to know this. I'm drag racing a Highlander and Pathfinder for pink slips in a few days and this will help me figure out optimal shift points. I can't be the last one to soccer practice anymore.

New Member here: I just test drove a cx 9 signature - "dreadful A/C" is correct

I have a theory about the AC on the car after driving it for 2+ months and having the dealer look at the AC. The AC system itself works great, my car blows 40-45 degree air out of it when the AC is on. I noticed over the last couple of days that when I close my sunroof shade, the car instantly...

5 Things You Should Never Do In A Turbocharged Vehicle

I agree with the 5 things he lists but I think most of them aren't worrisome on the CX9. Most modern turbo charged engines have some dummy proofing. 1. Don't run the engine hard after startup. I'm pretty sure the CX9 limits boost until the engine is warmed up. The ECU prevents you from doing...

    Spied: 2017 Mazda CX-9

Nope, car uses r-134a. Manual and underhood sticker say r-134a.

Yuuuup. Depends on the brand. 2 diono car seats will work in the configuration you want. 2 graco 4evers will be a tight fit. I've had to switch between those 2 brands over the past for weeks for non car reasons.

The manual has a heated steering wheel page with a drawing of the button right next to the driver's heated seat button. I think a heated steering wheel is a lock for 2017.

(boom05) That's a lot of boost and what I would call an engine safety parameter.

    2016 CX9 Owners Thread

Lane keep sensitivity can be changed in the settings menu. There are 2 settings, high & low, default is high. There are also a few othe settings. Mazda's lane keep is far less intrusive than other systems. I owned a ford before he CX9 and it would practically rip the wheel out of your hands. I...

    2016 CX9 Owners Thread

I'm nearly at 1,000 miles and I've noticed a few new things. A really cool feature I enabled is "walk away lock". When exiting the vehicle it beeps, you walk a bit further away from the car and it beeps again and locks the car. Now I only have to touch the door handle when unlocking the car...

Do you at least get the warning beep when pressing any tailgate button? If you open the tailgate all the way and hold down the tailgate button on the underside of the door for ~5 seconds it should reset after a few fun noises. Might be worth trying.

I'm 99% sure. The materials have slightly different textures and the aluminum piece feels cool after the AC is going for a bit where the other pieces feel like plastic.

    2016 CX9 Owners Thread

Since the spied thread has turned into a seat circle jerk, I figure it's best to start an owners thread. I've had my cx9 signature for about a week after stepping up for a 2013 Ford Fusion. I'm still finding new things about the car as I drive it. It's been a dream to drive so far. The HUD...
