When the car is shut down it read around 2 pounds of boost.

I think my boost gauge sh*t the bed. When I shut off my car, it no longer settles on zero, and it's not reading accurately. Is it ruined, or is something just screwy? I haven't really had the time to give it a look in depth. What does this symptom say?
