    Headlight Options...

Wouldn't Japanese spec headlights be aimed the wrong way, since they drive on the other side of the road there? You'd be blinding other drivers and wouldn't have enough light to illuminate signs on the side of the road.

    2011 Mazda2 Reflector Overlays...

Reflectors are an important safety feature. If you do this mod, you better remember to leave your parking lights on if you ever park on the side of a road, so then your car will still have some kind of visibility from a distance -- especially if your state does not use a reflective license plate.

    CorkSport Mazda 2 LED Kit

Are these at least as bright as the original bulbs? Most LED retrofits have weak lighting, because unless equipped with a good reflector, LEDs only aim light in one direction, instead of spreading it all around like a light bulb.

Mazda2 vs. Ford Fiesta price and features comparison

A few thoughts... Regardless of the specs, numerous tests have shown the Mazda2's performance to be comparable with, or even better than, virtually every other subcompact on the market today. (Yes, the Honda Fit and 1.8L Nissan Versa are slightly faster, but neither is truly a subcompact.) So...

    Ordered Mazda 2

No, "HID retrofit kits" are illegal in Canada too. In addition to the Daniel Stern article I linked to earlier, please see this thread: HID lighting, why they are illegal http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123631466-HID-lighting-why-they-are-illegal

    Ordered Mazda 2

Putting HIDs into a headlamp housing not specifically made to accomodate them is not only illegal, but also a very bad idea. Automotive lighting expert Daniel Stern explains the problems in detail on this web page: "Thinking of converting to HID?"...

Post Pics of your Mazda2 / Demio

A VW "bee-sting" style antenna fits fine. Not exactly "stubby" at 19 inches long, but that's a lot shorter than the stock 30 inch antenna. One from a Mazda3 should as well, since they use the same threads. I used the antenna from my dad's 2002 VW Golf as a test, and reception on AM and the...

    Just arrived

I just got my new Mazda2 tonight :) and one of the things I noticed while driving it home is that when you switch on the high beams, the low beams shut off, so you lose the foreground illumination. I guess with both the low and high beam filaments in one bulb, they can't run both at the same...

How do you guys like your Mazda2 ? / Potential owner

The Mazda2 is a lot of fun to drive, especially with the manual transmission. Don't let the low HP rating fool you. The engine is peppy and sounds great, the steering feel is excellent, and the shifter is very crisp and precise. The Fiesta is similar overall, but is slightly more tuned for...

    Hello Mazda Family!

I also wanted a Spirited Green Mazda2 Touring 5-speed, and there are a handful of them out there at dealers, but none within about 100 miles from here. (Meanwhile, the Aquatic Blue color is "late availability" and doesn't even exist yet.) And allegedly, the dealers who do have them aren't...

    Just arrived

Since Japan is a right-hand-drive country (like England), if you install JDM headlights on a U.S. car, they will be aimed towards the wrong side of the road! Most U.S. headlights in recent years use H4 (or similar) bulbs, so you should already be getting the full equivalent of "Euro-spec"...
