I agree it looks weird. There are only 5 reviews on tirerack and all 5 are positive with one mentioning great wet traction and if I remember right it was on a CX-7.

Does anyone know that answer to this. Our next service we are supposed to have the transmission flushed so I asked about the filter and my dealer said the same thing. He said it's a metal filter now and doesn't need to be replaced.

That's awesome, I may be able to follow that. After looking at the link you posted with the Kicker DS speakers it got me thinking. The lower grade DS speakers are 70 watts the next higher grade Kicker speakers are the KS series which are 180 watts. Would it make since to get the KS series...

If I do install myself, does anyone know if the Kicker speaker fit the factory space for speakers. I've read on other forums you might have to mod something up to mount the after market speakers and that only Pioneer's were a direct swap.

Don't think I'm ambitious enough. I will probably break down and pay for quality install since I'm afraid I might break something taking the door panels off.
