Could be that your engine is knocking, or that you have a bad knock sensor. I broke mine on engine swap, and the one I bought was faulty w/in hours of driving. Took it back and got another and 17k miles later it is still good
If you hear a whistling, it is more than likely your WGA. It will whistle when the diaphram goes bad. Simple check would be to see if it holds vaccuum. Do you have a boost/vaccuum guage?
Well give me some details guys. Do you all have all 4? Willing to sell one? Any cost of shipping? I bought some Corvette rims for my S-10 years ago and seems if I remember right it was $15-20 a rim to ship.
I am looking for some Racing Hart rims, preferrably 2003.5, if there is a difference. Will definitely consider 2003 and 2001 MSP rims. Also any MAZDASPEED rims (3, 6, Miata) I might be interested in
You should really consider some modifications if going w/a larger turbo. I've put $5k in just parts on my original MSP and I am just now to the point where I want to upgrade the turbo and forge the engine.
Why pay the money for a bigger turbo if you don't have plans for heavy modding and you're going to keep the boost low? I just picked up a used stock turbo and Forge WGA for $225 for my d/d MSP.
The only things I have to remove to change out the WGA is hot pipe, intake, bracket that holds oil/coolant lines. All on the top side. From the top-side I remove the nut that is closer to front of the car and from the bottom-side I remove the other nut. Then I cross my fingers and pray that I...
There are plenty of threads/posts about different engines in the MSP. It was my understanding that you wouldn't be able to fit a different engine in the Protege. Not w/o extensive work I would think, but also I don't know what the engine in question is. I am guessing a Millenia S if it is a...
