    Solidworks CAD / download?!

If you know pro/e then you should be able to pick up Solidworks easily. Transitioning from AutoCAD products to full parametric modeling software is often more difficult. But if you have used Pro/E or Inventor you should be ok. Solidworks has terrific help files and tutorials. You can know...

    CEL help Code: P0401

Burr, saw the link you were referring to. When you did it did you have to remove the IC as well? I just got the code and was wondering how much of a pita it was going to be to clean it out. Thanks

Why Would A Scanner Not Connect?? WTF!

I had a similar problem on my 2006 MS6. I threw a CEL, borrowed a scanner from a friend, tried to hook it up and it would not connect. I tried a different scanner and it worked fine. I tried the 'non-working' scanner on my MINI and it read the code fine...strange stuff.

    Mazdaspeed 3 Challenge

Every Time I see that ridiculous grill all I can think is "Happy Mazdaspeed3 is Happy"

So I test drove one of these.

I don't know about that. I learned to drive stick on my MS6. No prior experience (No TSB on the clutch either). If you can drive stick on this car, I think you can drive just about any car.

    New Fun-Run

^I've been on a lot of those roads before...1 or 2 cars can make it the most boring drive in the world. Most people drive 5 to 10 under the posted speed limit. No car in front of you can make them freaking awesome - good tyres are a must. As for going early AM...could be fun. The northern...

    High temps from cp-e FMIC

I was just thinking that maybe something got crushed/wacked/smacked/bent/twisted/tweeked or otherwised damaged during the install and you might be getting false readings somewhere.

    High temps from cp-e FMIC

Doesn't the stock TMIC sit over top the engine anyway? If it does, then I don't see how a pipe over top would see more heat than the TMIC. The cold pipe behind the radiator might be a problem source for you, but not because of Radiation. I would not go chasing the Radiant heat transfer. Just...

    Mechanical Engineer looking for job!!!

    a) not all of them operate this way. Many are hired by HR departments within an organization and get paid from them, not out of your pocket. HR has a budget for recruiting a position. If an agency is used, regardless of how you are hired, that money is spent and 'theoretically' taken out of...

    Mechanical Engineer looking for job!!!

Ha you have specialty in HPV. You looking to stay in the Southern US, or willing to relocate? As a fellow early career Mechanical engineer I can say you best bet to find a job, apply everywhere, even if you don't really like the company. Go for an interview if just for practice. Posting...

    New PC build

Sounds impressive. What's the application that your going to be using that for? High polygon 3d modeling sounds a lot like design work. What software you gonna pair it up with?

    What should I do!! HELP!

Parts alone are like 2k, if your not paying the dealer. I can see how they'd milk another 2k out of it and labor costs. This car is not the cheapest to maintain, but still a heck of a lot better than some other cars

Can changing just the wheels cause an alignment problem?

So was it just out of alignment?

    What should I do!! HELP!

Both my MS6 and MINI were purchased from a dealer. Test drove them a bunch, everything fine. Take them home - problems. It's just the risk you take when you buy a USED car. I don't care how reputable the dealer is, once a used car is off the lot, its technically not their problem...

Can changing just the wheels cause an alignment problem?

Unrelated question, what tires are you running. I can see they are General. But they look directional, and if those pictures are all taken from the same side, you may have them running backwards.

    My new CF wing.

The laws of physics fear wings, therefore they run and hide for 6 more weeks of winter...or something like that

    My new CF wing.

so sorry. Didn't realize you were a aerodynamic engineer. So perhaps you can explain to me whether it's a spoiler or a wing. If it really is a wing perhaps you could shed some light how to you determined the angle of attack for that vehicle? It appears to be adjustable, so clearly you must...
