I have a 2011 4 cylinder Tribute. I Bought a 2008 V6 for parts. This morning my exhaust on the 2011 broke just before the resonator. My question is can I just swap the exhaust from the cat back on the 2008 to the 2011? This is where is broke on the 2011.

Isn't that a plastic piece holding the box together? If so then you may not be getting the ground you need.

I've looked around all over and there seems to be a tonne of different harnesses for the 2011 Tribute. It has 2 connectors on the back of the stock HU. It has the screen above the HU displaying the temp, clock, song names, etc. Will one of these connectors not be i use now after a new harness...

Hey man, thanks for the reply. I dont think it is the same engine as the MPV. I think the engine was redone for the 2nd gen mazda 3's and it is the same 2.5L MZR engine in this. The fans do cut out. But they should not be coming on after a cold start up.

Yeah for sure it all looks sick. Don't question yourself on the black wheels. They match the car in all aspects. Awesome

I found any simple Metal Polish will work wonders. Its slightly gritty, and does the job perfectly. It's all i've ever used on headlights and a single bottle (will last multiple uses) is only like 8-10 bucks. Don't waste money on a resto kit.

Fans Kicking on too Early?? This is from a cold start, after sitting over night. As soon as I start the rig, the fans come on. Why? The engine isn't even warm yet. Is this a common thing to happen? It is causing the idle to ramp up to like 1900 upon start up cause of the extra load of the fan...

Yeah I have a spare Pioneer design for Ford-Mazda`s however in the mazda3 i needed like half inch of spacer to get it to clear the window. I dont want to go through the hassle of removing the door panel and speaker only to find out this one wont fit either. As for the ticking, I hope it isn`t...

Speaker is STILL buzzing upon braking. Just passed 60K kms so I guess i'll have to live with it. This 2.5 likes to 'tick' as well doesn't it? Like that's a fairly common thing for a 2.5L Mazda correct?

I do like the CX5, however, we bought a Tribute when the time came to trade in the 3. I know it is still technically lots of ford parts on it, but it has character, rides well, fold-flat seating in the rear, and IMP looks better than the escape lol. Well mine does anyways :P
