Well I cleaned my EGR and IAC today. Took the throttle body off to the get the EGR , so I cleaned it as well.
Had a CEL and the characteristic crappy idle before starting the procedure. Plugs are recent. EGR was frozen open and after liberal use of carb/throttle body cleaner and working the EGR...
Got a Protege5 today with a bad motor, so the engine is coming out a used one going in. It looks like the used one will have 50K mi. on it or so. Anything I should be doing to the used motor while it is out?
Timing belt, water pump, etc...
