I was a little surprised when a coworker with a new CX-5 said his MRCC has stop & go. I know the CX-5 has features the CX-9 didn't but I didn't think that was one of them. Is it hardware (front parking sensors?) the CX-9 is missing that prevents it from getting Stop&Go I wonder?

Has anyone else noticed the black plastic, i.e., around the shifter, scratches if you look at it funny? I've been incredibly careful about cleaning it yet despite my intentions, it's got little scratches everywhere. (bang) Anyone have any tricks to keep it from scratching? Maybe a wax?
