Hello, i did this mod myself, it's just plug and play. The rear garnish with the mazda emblem must be removed and it's a pain put doable in maybe 2 or 3 hours tops

does it open more than that? the cable feels like it's about to break again if i apply pressure to it

i can't for the life of me, push the cables inside this harness, i already opened as shown in the picture but they won't go fully in. What im i doing wrong?

Did u manage to solve the issue? i brought back my steering wheel controls back to working order, and i would like to try again to install the wiring underneath the steering column, but since my car is japanese like yours i might have the same issue you have.

It is not labeled as rumble sound, it is clearly labeled as vibration. I'm pretty sure my steering wheel vibrates, sound alert is an option too. My car is japan built, don't know about the US version.

Yes, i put everything back to stock but still a no go. The fuse maybe, but i already took it to the dealer, they ran some tests but they don't know what they need to replace, much less which circuit is blown.

yes, the small narrow White connector i don't see how can this one be opened. The wider one opens as shown in the pic on post 46, but this one is tight.
