I think by about August 1, 2016, I'll have 300,000 miles on the 07 MS3. Looking at 297,000 right now. Probably should address the EGR code that's been there for 150,000 miles, but I haven't even thought of cleaning the intake valves. Maybe my driving habits blow the carbon out?

What have I done to my MS3 today, you ask? Well, I drove it to 250,000 miles. When I bought it new in October of 2006, I wondered how good it still would be with a quarter million miles on the odometer. Now I can say "quite good, with a real likelyhood of crossing 300,000". On the good side...

I'm not entirely sure how to advise you since I still have OEM springs. I set the Yellows at 3/5 in front and 2/4 at back. When new, this was really stiff for the street, but damping balance between the two ends of the car were well matched. If the roads are not fairly good where you live...

Mine did too. I just didnt know it was the bushings, so I replaced everything else to get rid of the knocking.

I think the FSDs are not quite as stiffas the Konis, if I recall from my research a few years ago.

Knocking solved! It was primarily the front stabilizer bar bushings. Car feels and sounds new again.

No idea. I had my local garage do it. I don't know what an upper strut bearing is, honestly. Does it allow the strut to rotate versus the chassis mounts with steering inputs? By the way, shop says original sway bar bushings were plenty shot (no surprise), as well as the Moog replacement end...

Awesome feedback. Thank you. I just dropped it off at the shop early this morning - I'm willing to pay somebody else to do suspension work. I'm going to call them now and tell them they probably should just replace the bushings. Maybe they can get the parts and finish it in one business day...

This is a very high mileage 2007 MS3, but it's been doing this a long time. Hearing knocking on choppy bumps, and can be pretty loud. Replaced the struts -- no change. Replaced stabilizer end links, the knocking in the rear disappeared, but the front knocking stayed. The usual VA...

FYI, I had to replace my timing chain (2007 MS3) at 160,000 miles, but some need it a lot earlier. Sitting at 235,000 miles now.
