    Tires on M3 GT Sport

I won't be using them in the snow next year. I picked up the car at the end of Feb, so I'm not springing for snow boots in March; I'll wait until next year. I guess I'm stuck with the RS-A's....

    New Rotors, and Pads.

Just a comment on the x-drilled rotors. If you're in a northern climate, it only takes 1 winter for all of those holes to get filled with rust! Trust me, I've tried it, and I'll never do it again. I can imagine the slotted rotors will eventually fill with rust too. I'd stick with stock...

    New Rotors, and Pads.

Try CTA Motorsports. I've been buying my brakes from them for the last 5 years. Good prices, and the guy really knows his stuff. Certified car-nut!

    Brake dust?

That isn't the reason you get more in the front. Your front/rear weight bias is ~65/35 F/R, and when you apply the brakes, you shift even more of the weight to the front. Under hard braking, you're transferring nearly 90% of the vehicle's weight to the front. More braking force = more brake dust.

KVR Performance makes a Kevlar/Carbon Fibre pad that produces very little dust. I've used them on my old Contour and Spec V's, and they've been great. Very little fade even under aggressive braking. The only downside is they're a pretty hard pad, so by the time they wear out, so will your rotors.

    Tires on M3 GT Sport

I'm not really interested in throwing away the stock rubber, just hoping there might have been a different tire out there that might be on a car sitting in stock a the dealership. I should be taking possession of the car next week, and the sales guy I deal with is pretty flexible. If there's a...

    Tires on M3 GT Sport

Anyone else get a different tire than the RS-A's? They don't have a rim guard, and I'd like to protect my wheels.... Thanks.
