Just to clarify, you plugged it directly into the same little hole that already has a wire coming out of it? Or did you plug into the empty space/directly above the wire?

Wow, twice on the same day?! May I ask where and when in NY/NJ was he pulled over for 20%? Prior to my CX-5, I had a protg for about 8 years w/35% tint all around minus windshield. I was/am in New York, NY area. Knock on wood... never been hassled or pulled over once for the 35% tint all...

It's good yours came pre-tinted, and to match as well. Saves you the trouble and time of having to find installer, researching, etc. That's of course, assuming you wanted the front windows tinted? I doubt 15% on front side windows are legal in any state.

@ghost_ix... Sorry for the late reply, kind of forgot about this thread. I did get my windows tinted over the course of two months or so. Just wanted to chime in with my findings in case anyone is currently at the same situation I was in, decisive on tinting, but unsure what tint % to go...

Thanks for confirming where everything is for the 2016 model. That would be useful info for me, when I decide to tackle this sort of project.

When you say long delay to shut off, how long are we talking? Also, when you say switch off is instant, are you saying it doesn't fade out at all and just cuts off? Thanks.

Very nice write up. Thank you. So based on your write up, I would like to know if I could wire in some LEDs to those two same wires your were referencing, instead of a door sill? Such that they would come on and off like dome lights, with door open... In theory, seems like it would work, but...

You definitely seem to be in a stickier situation. I did the factory reset from the screen under settings tab. I have never done the hard reset button combo on car since day one. Honestly, I just learned of the button reset combo today, as I was going through the forum.

Great, thanks for the info. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't some other kind of reboot I didn't know about. Soft/Hard reboot, I could care less what it's called... lol Glad to hear the firmware update has resolved issue(s) you were having.
