    Seatbelt question v.432323

Yes I've searched with no avail. I changed the struts on my 03 P5 (and yes, those end-links kicked my ass) and the only other problem I am having is the rear seat belts are all of the way retracted and I cannot figure out how to pull them out to re-install. I thought the actual strut/spring...

Is painting the valve cover ricey?

I have a silver P5 and the valve cover is in need of something. It's real dull, and I was wondering if this is a ricey thing to do? Also, suggestions as to the color...I was thinking silver to keep the bling factor down...

    Accepted Speedo error

The ticket is 50 bucks, no big deal. I'm going to court for it for 2 reasons, I'm a law school student and enjoy this kind of stuff, and 4 mph really is a miniscule amount to be ticketed for. Hell, I'll be walking into the court room faster than my violation was written for. Whatever happens I'm...

    Accepted Speedo error

I didn't violate any other law, like I said had I been given a break I would just pay the ticket. I understand that indeed I was technically violating the law in Vermont, but I always figured an officer would allow for a reasonable amount of leniency.

how did u guys get such low prices??

I got my P5 with 35K miles for 11K even. Just walked in, drove it and said the only way I'm going to buy it is if it costs 11. He said no way, so I left. Right before I got to my car he said he will ask, and the manager said ok. The dealer made $230 on the car and the sales guy made a commission...

    Accepted Speedo error

In regards to my car, just bought it so it is bone stock. I'm just wondering if someone can point me in the direction of finding out the %age error on a stock 03 P5 so I can decide what argument I am going to use.

    Accepted Speedo error

That's the thing, I really was going 69. Cruise control is a nice feature which I have never had prior to this vehicle. Edit: also, had I been speeding and I got that kind of break I would be thanking the cop for the break and paying the fine.

    Accepted Speedo error

Nah, it says on the ticket that I declared my speed. I had the cruise set at 69 and I told him that thinking 4 mph wasn't ticketworthy, but I guess it is in VT.

    Accepted Speedo error

So I got popped doing 69 in a 65 on my way home from school the other night. I am trying to determine how I am going to argue this in court and I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find out how much the speedo is off in my vehicle. The car is an 03 P5, kinda sucks because I have only had...

    Implications of lowering a vehicle

Currently I race an SV650 in CCS series, but I was hoping to try auto x in my P5. Racing is a passion of mine, and I enjoy meeting people and competing.

    Implications of lowering a vehicle

Cool, I'm not necessarily a "n00b" of forums, I race a heavily modified SV650 in the champhioship cup series and I rely on forums for a lot of info. I know VB, and how search works so I hope not to ask many repetitive questions. I was just wondering if the benefits outweigh the dangers in...

    Implications of lowering a vehicle

BTW first post, new owner 03 P5. Wondering what the effect on safety during a collision after lowering a car (namely P5, 2" lowering springs). I recently read an article about manufacturers engineering their vehicles to an exact height specification to ensure safety during a crash and was...
