I got a CX-5 with 17" wheels and I was also made to sign the no chains thing during financing. I read somewhere online that somebody emailed Mazda about it and they had no idea why dealerships were making people sign this.

I'm not so bothered by the infotainment screen reflection because it's to the right, but the instrument panel reflection is crazy because it's right in front of me. All Mazda had to do was to extend the instrument panel cover on the dash by an inch or so to have no reflection.

Imagine my disappointment. Btw I put the link in my original post of the glare and several tall people have confirmed it's there.

How did you rent them?

Hi TDK, can you please post pictures of you setup? You taped the cardboard to the lip of the instrument panel with some scotch tape I presume?

I think that's the trick they play. They keep it turned down so you don't see the reflection when you test drive it. But for me, it's too low.

Yeah, I think I will let my wife drive this, she's 5'5 and I'll have to buy something else. Too bad, I really like the car otherwise.

I see the infotainment screen as well, but it's off to the side and it doesn't bother me. If you move up in your seat, do you see the speedometer reflection like the picture I posted? Also, do you have the Touring with preferred package? I think GT has a different dash.

I don't know if you bought already, but I got that plus the preferred package (I'd recommend the preferred package) for 27k out the door. Preferred package is about $1500.

Get a Google voice number and use that when you sign up for Truecar or others like that.
