What is ABS supposed to feel like? The 5 is the first car that I've had with ABS, and this winter when it actually kicked in, it felt like grinding metal when I pushed the brake pedal down. I didn't feel any "pulsing" like I would have expected.

Has anyone seen the Dark Plum Mica color yet? Any pictures?

Has anyone got any good leads on roof rails yet? I have family in the UK so I'm trying that avenue, getting them to physically go to the dealership, avoiding all "shipping" concerns. Just thought I'd ask if anyone else is doing anything to source them?

How would you rate the "performance" of your 5, as compared to before it was "fixed", now that you have it back?

Well, on my manual 5 they : - replaced the silencer - added a heat shield - did a programming change on the PCM I'm not sure what #3 means, but #1 means that the engine now sounds "louder" at higher RPM's... at least to my ear. Anyone else found the same?

Finally got my dealer-installed step plate for the back ... it's black and plastic, and doesn't cover the entire top of the bumper. Here's a pic from Mazdastuff.com - this is exactly what it looks like : The silver one that was posted here looks much cooler. :) Now, about those roof rails ...

So, Mazda5 owners or future owners... what is going to be your first "mod" to the 5? I'm personally going to tint the back 5 windows (not allowed to tint the front 3 in my Province) first, and then I might look into some other mods like a strut bar or maybe sway bars... :)
