@yrwei52, thank you for the illustrations showing the difference between the two engines. To bring all up to date, I was given the VIN for the engine which showed it came from a 2018 CX-5 and it is indeed a 2.5L. Thanks to all for their input and ideas.

Not likely. I've scrolled through various areas on her infotainment center and the only thing relating to the backup camera is with the monitor itself, which allows adjusting color, contrast and brightness. Thanks for the input.
