re: 2018 CX-5 Touring
I just paid $1,440 for the MEC/factory Total Confidence (bumper-to-bumper) offering. Ten years (total) with a 100k mile cap and $0 deductible.
Details, brochures, T&C and dealer-only info available at our Miata club website...
What a goat rope. (wiggle)
Selling dealer says that I am not eligible because MEC is only available to purchase at delivery time. Mazda USA disagrees ... but this store seems to prefer selling nothing rather than something. So I visit two other dealers.
Dealer #2 is an Audi/Mazda store. F&I...
Dealer that sold/delivered my CX-5 priced MEC at $2,400US ... which is a bit much for only two more years and a few more miles.

CR-V, RAV4, Outback, Impreza and Envision.

I loaded up an AWD Touring with all the electronic toys, including Soul Red, and was out the door for $27,2xx USD before taxes, title and license, on the last day of the quarter/half. I think that I did okay.
Based on this thread, my first stop after picking up my new CX-5 at the
dealer ... was a trip to the detail shop to have them (clear) wrap the front fascia,
hood, mirrors and rear bumper (lift-over).
