Canadian 18 GT with Tech here. Seat heaters remain on when the car is restarted. Heated steering wheel does not turn on when restarted.

Could care less about Android Auto or Carplay since they don't work with the HUD.

The issue must be exclusive to the North American spec CX-5's then. Other world markets have different headlamps/DRL's etc.

This isn't true at all, my other cars auto lights will turn on instantly in underground parking or inside tunnels and has never flashed or flickered when driving through shadows or trees. This is definitely one thing I don't like about the CX-5.

After reading your post I decided to try this yesterday in our brand new GT, and sure enough when both the driver and passenger windows were auto-closing along with the sunroof, the sunroof stopped half way and opened fully. Seems strange.
