2019 CX5 Signature here. Also owned 2017 NON turbo previously. I have this exact same noise issue. The noice follows the engine RPM, more noticeable under load and colder temperatures, goes away when you let off the gas then comes back as the engine RPM comes back down. My guesses would be fuel...
