Are you sure they are not on? They only come on with the car in drive and with forward motion. It seems silly to me but that is the way they work. Have someone else look while you pull up towards them.

Every one of these that I have seen have been held on with double sided tape. No worries.

Most likely driver error as is 99% of these type of accidents. Cars nowadays record driver inputs like brake and gas pedal applications. It should be easy to get that data to the owner but they will probably have to jump through a few hoops.

That's usually something (the overexposure) that can be helped with a software update. Please report it to Mazda.

Did you install it like they did in the video with the wiring coming out the rear hatch? While it may work, there has got to be a better way than that.

Having almost a quarter of a tank once you hit E is a little excessive but as long as it is consistent I am fine with the large "reserve". It's too early to tell as I've only had 5 or so fill ups and only 3 times have I run it that low.

Yes, exactly the same as I get. At least it has been consistent through all 5 fill ups.

No, I would think the aftermarket could be installed anywhere along the rail. Another positive for them. They clamp on to the rail instead of bolting to it at least that's how they have worked on other cars I have owned.

I went with the 3D Maxpider matts all around. The rear hump is covered. I really like them. They do show dirt fairly easily but it's easy enough to take them out and hose them down. I may end up cutting them to make raising the 3rd row a simpler process.
