2017~2024 Jacking up truck with an adapter

I saw the other thread about jacking up the front of the truck, but instead of asking my question at the end of his and unintentionally hijacking it, I created a fresh one. For years I've always jacked all my cars by from the center. In the front, it was by some cross-member and in the rear at...

2017~2024 Ordered set of 16" steel wheels and 215/70/16 winter tires for 2017 GT

As the title says, we picked up some new wheels and tires for the winter. It took some time to research if it could be done, and I'm confident it will work. I never read anybody with a Grand Touring and 19" dropping to 16" wheels. Tire Rack would even allow the selection for tire/wheel...

2017~2024 Sound insulation underneath the CX-7

Impressive what lengths Mazda went through to insulate road noise. I haven't looked under a Lexus, Mercedes or Jag lately, but I was surprised to see sound insulation underneath our truck. I can't imagine this will hold up well to the elements of cold snowy winters, rain, freezing, road...

2017~2024 Rubber nipples under rear suspension arms

I was looking under our CX-5 today and found rubber nipples underneath the rear suspension arms. Caught me by surprise. Kind of funny to see. They seem like wear indicators because they clearly won't make any noise if you drive over something low. Nothing on the front arms.

2017~2024 Brand new truck with spongy/soft brakes.

When our truck only had 12 miles, it already had soft brakes. I was very surprised. After buying it and having ~300 miles now, it's still the case. We've test drove dozens of trucks before settling on this one and we didn't experience it with any of the others. Have any of you experienced a...

2017~2024 Do 2017 GT headlights have HID lights?

It's not clear that they are. I've watched a Mazda car reviewer, review one at night in front of a Mazda dealership, say they were HID. However, I couldn't find it in the BOM or anywhere else. They look like HID and from inside the car, they seem like HID, but I don't see it in official print...

    XPEL Ultimate clear paint wrap?

Has anybody installed this on their car? or anything similar like 3M Scotch If so, what amount of coverage did you install? How was the pre-cut coverage? We are debating to do the headlights + Mazda logo + front bumper + "bikini" cut(curved hood/fender/mirror) coverage. We have XPEL door edge...

2017~2024 CX-5 Doors not closing as smoothly/easily on new purchase

I am a valet driver on the side. I drive 80+ every day from 1970's Peugeots to Toyota Camerys to Ferrari Californias. We just bought a <30 mile CX-5 Grand Touring and the first time I close the door during the test drive (before buying it), the doors don't close fully with my normal closing...
