Just curious which NYC dealer did you drop your car off for the install? How long did it take?

What is your outlet size? I didn't want anything larger than 4" as it would not fit into our bumper's exhaust opening. Be careful so you don't get too large or long since there is limited space in the back of the OEM tips. The rear pipe is less than 3" for clamping.

I had to wedge my ratchet into the back but once you have them on secure enough you can rotate and center the tips. It's been a few months with no complaints here. I see more of our CX-9s on the road and just cringe at how dinky those stock tips look. It's got a turbo and should look the part...

As I mentioned in my earlier posts, these install directly on top of the factory tips. You need to center them by hand tightening first then using a mini socket wrench to get it tighter.

Yes you are correct Bingoy, no reason to turn my ride into a rice rocket. I'll admit it's the only part that Mazda cheapened on. Stock tip's diameter does not fit the size of the rear proportions. It's likely similar parts bin as CX-5 and 6s tips.

Specs say inlet is 3.3" and outlet is 4" sorry only states standard. FYI OEM tip is over 3"

The tech basically mentioned that the toll tag might be interfering with the sensors due to the proximity of it being so close. I told them there was a slight stickiness to the brakes when I release it in stop and go traffic. Ever since I moved it to the back of the display the stickiness is gone.

I have it mounted as you would on the windshield. I double-side taped the curved side of the ezpass to the back of the infotainment screen, the velcro side faces the windshield. Let me know if the license plate mounted version works for you. I might consider, since it looks cleaner.
