Will a Protege5 Catback fit on an MSP?

Yes, it should but will be several inches short of the rear bumper. I know this as I have put an msp axel back on a p5 and it hangs out a good amount. ( Bolts and hangers appear identical ).

What have you done to your P5 today?

Okay, will do. I have pulled it from a parts car. The brake lines ( yet to pull ) are branded "Goodridge". They appear the same as clutch line. As for the exact part numbers I have messaged the original owner ( who built it for solo2 a few months from new ) however he is up north working for a...

    2003 Protege Coolant Change question?

What a difference the proper tools make..

For now... Lol, well to be fair I didn't exactly plan to evacuate mine. Figured I would make wine from sour grapes n' get it put back together better than it was previously. Lol besides I am just practicing. For what ? Not sure but logging hours in her.

What a difference the proper tools make..

Yes sir. I mean pulling engine. Lots of things can be achieved at the same time ( timing belt for one, think I will be using a stand next time, clutch/flywheel etc ). Just don't make it the one mod you do lol. But to be honest if you need a new rear, you've been rocking your engine around in...

What a difference the proper tools make..

Yeah well I don't think I would even attempt to do it with out clearing engine bay. But I am sort of a pussy lol.

    EGR question.

Ah cool, yeah I sort of figured. I have a Canadian EGR attached to blown engine, I will just reclaim that one ( as I have the coolant and vacuum/drain hose already plumbed in ). Lol just trying to shave some time off this assembly. Which I should stop, as it seems like a better idea to go...

    EGR question.

So assembling new intake, curious what are all your thoughts on Canadian vs non Canadian egrs ? I have both ( and in Canada..). I replaced a non Canadian one earlier on in car's life as it was a rusted fist. Any advantages to not looping coolant through it ?

What have you done to your P5 today?

Prepped donor engine with hydramotor sports thermal gaskets and 626 intake. Confirmed lightweight flywheel. And hopefully is actually an LSD, not ripping it apart to check. ( There is a limit lol ). Minor upgrades but stoked to get it put in !

    Brake caliper part numbers:

Hi curious if anyone can help me identify my brake calipers. So, in process of swapping front ends in my p5's I have noticed my calipers are different. My donor cars was once built for solo, and as such has some nicer bits than my daily, however not sure about my front calipers. Current...

I have also made the mistake of pounding in a pickle fork between tierod end and control arm and again boned the boot on tierod end. Lol I see and raise your dumbass with MEGA dumb ass lol

What a difference the proper tools make..

Lol. Done it myself. And completely boned tierod end hehe. Figured there was a better way. I use the kit shown for pulling pulleys. The claw type I use for everything else [emoji106]

What a difference the proper tools make..

Makes quick work of tie rod connectors, used with penetrating oil and heat they pop right out. Have to appreciate that as de-gloved back portion of index finger on my brake shield doing it dry AF. Torqued to stupid amount and punched the dust shield when it released. 8 stiches later and I...
