I know the one cable grounds the bat. But where does the black cable with yellow stripe go. Is it an engine ground? It's super heavy duty. Looks like it could go the starter but the electric system doesn't seem to like it there. So what's it for...
Geez it sounds so simple... lol there so many damn hoses. Barely get at the wires. This swap has been a pain in my butt.... the starter is getting good voltage... but even if ignition is off.... I've determined it's somewhere between the starter and the battery..... lol
Hey guys did my swap. Have had the car started. But now she won't go and all I hear is a click. Prob the starter. And the battery positive terminal gets got af. Help!! Lol
Okay so one goes.to.the starter the.other is the crank sensor wire. Um ones green with a red strip I think that's crank sensor. The thick.black.one I believe is starter.....anyone reassure me???
I have 2 wires left to finish my swap ones a thick black 1 with a plastic piece with a slit. Other is a green and red one. I know 1 is for the knock sensor. But the other maybe the starter? I got pics
Got your pm. The cam gears and timin belt are already off the original msp engine and not marked. And obviously the new engine remains untouched thus far.
Alright so the cam gears are diff, so you'd mark the belt on the new engine and then swap the cam gears out? or do you need to swap the turbo belt and cam gears to the non turbo eng?
Did you tap into the block? and its weird the oil feed line bolted on no problem. its just the stupid oil return pipe.. did you see my pics? just so were 100% on the same page, i hadnt planned on drillin into the block..
