    Not moving underload

Does the car make any funny noises? When my differential broke, it made loud grinding noises when letting out the clutch. Differentials are a known issue with these cars but it could be the clutch as well. When you drove the car last, did the clutch slip at all?

You're right. I need to keep it... especially considering how much work I've put into it. Lol That's my Dad's old 2001 Saab 9-3 Viggen 5 speed. He sold it a couple years ago. Thanks!

A little update... To start with are some pictures of the throttle body rebuild I did in May. This included a new shaft seal and spring retainer. This seemed to cure all of my boost issues but now it feels like there is another boost leak. I'm thinking intercooler couplers my be the source of...

Yep, just find another 5 speed from a regular Protege.

    Broken lsd

I had this happen last year. I bought a used but good LSD and had it welded around the ring gear for reinforcement. You can also install a used transmission with an open diff. Just depends on how important it is to you.

    Still stuttering

When I've had issues with fuel cut in the past, it was usually either MAF or ignition coils.

I know it is dead in here but I'm new here lol

Hey! Nice MSP, looks much better. I think silver wheels would look better too but hey, it's your car. Do what you like!

What have you done to your MSP today?

You really like the MSP more than the Evo and 135i?

Today I went ahead and replaced the injector seals and microfilters. Overall, it wasn't too bad. The hardest part was getting the old filters out. The car runs about the same now, maybe marginally better. Either way, it should fix the small leak at injector #4. Plus, the old seals were hard as a...

Good info! The NB does seem to be a bit nicer (especially the interior) but I like the exterior looks of the NAs better. If I get one, I'll probably end up with a 1.8L NA. I had a lot of fun with my 318is with the 4 cylinder and upgraded suspension. I'm thinking this will be similar if I get one...

Lots of work done to my MSP. Some problems afterwards.

I had issues with inconsistent boost, actually I still do. Try cleaning your MAF first or maybe swap on a spare if you have one. I recently did a smoke test on mine and found that there is a leak at the throttle body shaft seal which I recently found out is a common (but not very well known)...

I haven't updated this thread in a while. Not much has happened. I installed a Bluetooth radio in January after the clutch replacement and I've been daily driving it ever since. Lately, it seems as if the car is not hitting full boost anymore. It still runs and idles great however. I smoke...

I finished the clutch job on January 2nd. Here's a photo dump of the Spec. When I took it off last summer, I noticed the bolts on the pressure plate were not torqued down evenly. That still doesn't explain why it started slipping so bad in November. Oh well.... The Exedy Stage 1 is installed now...

Well, as soon as I think the car is reliable, something happens... I was on my was home from work last Wednesday and the clutch starts slipping really bad. By the time I got close to home, I almost wasn't sure if I would make it. The strange thing is that when I took out the transmission over...
