Had this same issue on my 2001 P5. Shifted great when cold, when hot it was a pain. Even worse in summer. Changed all shift bushings, smoother shifting when cold, but when hot same issue. Don't know when clutch was done (or if ever done, I bought car about 2 years ago with 148,000mi on it)...

You can take it out from the top without going under it at all....Remove the cruise control servo (three nuts, disconnect harness, swing out of the way, no need to disconnect throttle cables) pull vapor canister off of bracket (no need to disconnect hoses) mind the aluminum high pressure A/C...

I'd take your tranny to a transmission shop and show it to them. I'm sure they deal with stuff like this all the time. Maybe they could supply you an oversized bearing or sleeve the shaft for you. That's what I would do anyway.

Is it just me, or do these lights have an affinity for catching stones? I've replaced two already from stoned cracked glass lenses. And that glass ain't fimsy....It's nice heavy glass....:(
