I posted my solution to this awhile ago. The dealership located it as a faulty Bluetooth module, replaced it and a couple of other parts and it was fine.

Upon talking to a guy I know who drives a F-350 (probably the same as the plow truck), it wasn't a 24v battery, which would've definitely fried the car. It was probably an improperly done jump, meaning he connected to the negative terminal instead of to the ground. So less to worry about.

Never seen it happen. Only problem I've seen is Android would only download a certain random list of names. Turns out it was a Bluetooth protocol issue, and an app fixed it.

I'm not an expert - a colleague of mine who used to be a finance manager at Porsche NA said that for JD Power purposes the model year ends 9/30. Now granted, for a 2014 that doesn't mean a lot, but I think it would have big impact on any 2013s still lying around.

Got mine for $1500 off sticker, but it was 9/30, so last day of quarter and last day of model year, albeit for a 2014.
