    Husky liner floor mats....anyone

The Husky's are better than the weathertech's for sure. I have Husky in my CX-5 and had Weathertech in wife's Escape, but the Husky's go up further into footwell, hold up better, and are more rubbery than plastic in my opinion. Can usually get a coupon code through autoanything.com for 20% off...

18" CX-9 Wheels on CX-5 and Changing to Smaller Sidewall Tire?

I have 18" wheels on mine with the 225/60's and they are absolutely fantastic. I wouldn't ever have 19's on a Mazda again. They ride much smoother and the speedo is exactly on. Love them!

    What's your odometer reading?

When towing, you hear all the creeks and bangs from the receiver in the hitch. It is absolutely annoying. I pull my mowing trailer 2-3x a week. Includes a 7'x14' utility trailer, John Deere X738, sometimes a MC542 collection system, chainsaw, edger, trimmer. So roughly about 2750-3000 lbs...

    What's your odometer reading?

Bought mine August 8 of 2016. Currently at 31,750 miles. Complaints so far-hitch noise is obnoxious. Center console latch has broken 2x now in 4 months. One other wish-that 6th gear was higher geared as it doesn't get that great of gas mileage(which I knew). Would benefit greatly from a...

Class 2 vs Class 3 tow hitch?

Class 2 are pretty much worthless except a bike rack or something of that nature. The class 3's are much more robust. The only thing that is very annoying pulling a trailer is all the hitch noise. I pull my 7'x14' with mowing equipment regularly at about 2750 lbs and the hitch noise is obnoxious.

    Broken center console latch (2016)

2nd time in 4 months for my center console latch. Ever since the original one broke, I have been very careful not to slam it and shut it gently. Called the dealer and they are gonna swap it out this Friday hopefully. If I had more time, I'd take the damn spring out of the lid and just leave...

How Often Do You Change Your Oil?

I tow 2500-3000 lbs regularly though. SO I think I may get it done a bit sooner. I will most likely trade it for a truck in the next year as the Mazda is maxed out with my trailer and what not. Doesn't like the tongue weight!

    Best CUV for towing

I tow my 7'x14' utility trailer that weighs 1190 lbs dry. On it.....2017 John Deere X738 which weighs about 1150 lbs, always, edger, trimmer, blower, spare misc crap, and usually a tow behind aerator or sometimes the yard vac. So weight is always between 2500-3000 lbs. It tows it fine in...

Stepping down... I think these will fit, thoughts?

You will never go back to bigger wheels after having 18's. They ride so much nicer!

How Often Do You Change Your Oil?

Every 12.5k with Amsoil and Amsoil EA filters. Never burns and drop and runs great. Did the first one at 9,000 but every 12.5-15k depending on when I get to it. Currently at 31k right now on my 16.5 Touring. Tow 3000 lbs with it at least 2x a week for my part-time mowing gig. Need to get...

    cx 5 tow hitch?

You do have to buy the kit that goes up to the battery since the tail-lights are LED bulbs and don't put out enough juice. The Curt Class 3 2" hitch is very easy to install. I pull my 6x10 utility trailer weekly with my John Deere X738 and Stihl Edger/Stihl 025 chainsaw/and Stihl...

CX5 owners, let's see your other vehicles

I can never get it to either without just attaching it then you have to click on it to open. It's janky!

I tried doing that and could never get it to work. Pulling the fuse was much easier

    lights

There is a designated fuse for the DRL's. Just pull it and everything else works as it should. Did it the first day I got mine and won't ever use it. Hate DRL's. Look in your manual, can't remember which one it is!

    CX-5 Towing Report

Update on the towing report for me-I recently traded the X590 mower for a larger X738 4WD model. It weighs about 250 lbs more and I also carry Stihl straight-shaft trimmer, Stihl blower, and Stihl straight-shaft edger all the time. So combined weight for all the gear with trailer, mower, and...

    CX-5 Towing Report

I ordered something similar to that from etrailer.com. Gonna try it this week when I pull it. I also have to get my trimmer racks mounted on my trailers...tired of my CX-5 smelling like gas and grass all the time!

    CX-5 Towing Report

I tow my H&H utility trailer(980 lbs per manufacturer) with my X590 John Deere lawnmower with 54" deck(805 lbs plus 154 lbs for deck). Combined weight of about 1950 with fuel and so forth. Handles it with no problems. I do use sport mode shifting manually(which helps a lot on the highway). I...

    Spark plug replacement surprise

I just hope this will be the last vehicle I ever have to worry about changing plugs on(not that it's hard by any means). But I'm going diesel as the next vehicle, so won't have to worry about plugs anymore! I am anxiously awaiting the CX-5 diesel! Finally a diesel in a vehicle that I can...

Well this time, looks like its for real guys

Ya, I may have to keep my current CX-5 a bit longer than I'd like, but I'm ok with that. Nothing wrong with it and returns decent fuel mileage. Consistently get 26-29 MPG. Kind of miss my old Mazda 6 as it would consistently get 35-38 MPG in the summer months. But, it's nice having AWD as I...

Well this time, looks like its for real guys

I think the biggest misconception about diesel is that they are loud and stinky old polluters. Modern diesels are so much cleaner than their early diesel cousins. Most people that knock diesel's are a)people that don't drive that much and they would never pay for themselves or b)people that...
