    Replacing roof for a sunroof?

That sounds like replacing the whole roof would be quite the project, mostly cuz instead of just cutting the small section of roof you have to insert some sort of support between the tops of the door frames. If you have a full body shop and a weekend or two you could probably do it, but I've...

    Another P5 on a College Budget....Meet Ozzie

Well, it finally happened. After not driving it too much since I've had my Honda, I finally sold Ozzie about a month ago. Got the exhaust leak fixed, as well as a wheel bearing that went bad (hopefully the last one), and sold him before I could drive it nice and quiet. Oh well. And now I'm...

    Another P5 on a College Budget....Meet Ozzie

Well, I had an issue with idling after the car warmed up, and I found the issue: the brake fluid reservoir finally wrote a hole in my eBay intake. Took a year, and I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner honestly. Time to JB Weld it or finally fit in my Weapon*R intake. We'll Se what happens today.

    Paul the Protege Build Thread!

Aaahhhhh the 200k mark. I was hoping to get mine to that point, but right now that's looking like it might be a miracle. Ha 24k to go still.

    Odd Stalling When Warm

I think i found my issue. My brake fluid reservoir finally busted a hole in my intake. Time for some JB Weld repairs!

    Odd Stalling When Warm

My original problem was a vacuum leak because my roommate snapped my purge solenoid. I'll have to look again, make sure nothing else broke.

    Odd Stalling When Warm

To preface this issue, I will say that I have noticed this OCCASIONALLY over the summer before I replaced my purge valve solenoid. What would happen is OCCASIONALLY when the car was already warm (usually while I was delivering), I would start the car and it would stumble a little bit, fire up...

    Another P5 on a College Budget....Meet Ozzie

I kinda saw it coming to this when I got my Fit, but I more denied it. The memories will always be there, and I will dearly miss Ozzie when I have to get rid of him. I might even cry. However, I can't wait to get another Mazda! I love my Fit and all, but it's just not the same as the way a Mazda...

    Another P5 on a College Budget....Meet Ozzie

Well, I never thought this day would come, but I finally decided to stop modding Ozzie altogether and drive him into the dirt. He's got 175,000 miles, the clutch is almost gone, two gear synchros are going bad (5th is really bad, reverse is somewhat acting up, as well as 3rd just starting to go...

    backup light upgrades

I picked up some LEDs. superbrightleds.com has some great options, but they are kinda spendy. The ones I got aren't available on Amazon anymore, but they were direct match-ups to the stock bulbs. It was a night-and-day difference as to light output. I wanna say they were less than $15...

    Another P5 on a College Budget....Meet Ozzie

Yeah.....none of this ^^^^ is gonna happen. I've been having some financial issues, mostly with roommates not paying me the money they owe me for bills. Between that and the extra expenses from, ya know, a whole new car payment and higher insurance, I'm sitting lower than I thought financially...

    lowlevel's Proteg 5 Rescue

The headlights are a pain to change!!! Idk how you got so lucky to get them done in 5 minutes...... That's really weird that your idle would go that high. Mine only goes up to about 2500 if it's a cold start in winter. And even then it goes down within a minute. Find out anything about that?

    Another P5 on a College Budget....Meet Ozzie

I feel the same way! I think the only point that I will be satisfied selling it at would be if 1) Someone I knew and saw frequently bought it (i.e. a coworker or close friend), 2) It was over 200k miles (current goal), and/or 3) I bought a new Mazda (probably the most likely scenario). In other...

    Another P5 on a College Budget....Meet Ozzie

I think that part was the part that I needed! Almost a month later and no issues at all. I think I'm finally gonna be getting the Fit tomorrow, and so Ozzie will be getting a much-needed break. My hope is that I will be able to refinish my rims (winter and summer) during this time, fix my...

What have you done to your P5 today?

Dang I kinda wish I only drove that little. I drive to campus everyday and to work sometimes twice a day. Granted it's no more than 4 miles one way, but if I work my pizza job that's hella more miles. Saturday I worked 8 hours of driving and put on 150 miles, all in town!

What have you done to your P5 today?

That's the way mine was when I bought it, but my car had been on the lot so long that the brakes were rusted through and the rear brakes were next to disabled until I swapped them. So maybe it needs new brakes?

What have you done to your P5 today?

Finally reconnected my e-brake from my brake swap a year ago.....on one side. The driver's side rear caliper didn't have the bracket for the e-brake. Seems pretty strong, but only when the car is already stopped. I know that's all I really need, but it'd be nice to know that it can stop it at a...

What have you done to your P5 today?

Over the last week I recharged my A/C and replaced my purge valve solenoid that I snapped in half over the winter while putting in my intake. Much better idle now! Today I gave Ozzie a much needed detail, both inside and out (benefits of working in the detail dept at a dealer). After a weekend...

    Another P5 on a College Budget....Meet Ozzie

I really hope so. I still think it's weird that it didn't really cause any problems for 8 months after putting in my new intake. Hopefully the part gets here soon!

    random drop in idle

I feel like that wouldn't cause a lean code, but maybe I'm wrong. Right now I have a lean code and eval leak code (p0171 and p0455 respectively).
