    piston size?

I would invest in tools to measure the bore if you are doing some internal engine work. Wiseco pistons are popular and available oversize.

New owner of nearly mint 03.5 MSP looking for advice

^Mishimoto only sells the full size protege rad. MSP isnt the same size since it has the side mount intercooler right next to it. I actually have the stock MSP rad I pulled from mine (not sure where you are located, shipping seems sketchy for something like that), its not perfect but has no...

    blown lsd- sell now? value?

Regardless of mileage, the car is inoperable, so with that being said I would say the 2500 and work down from there option is a good place to start In good working order these cars dont go for much anymore. and fixing it wouldnt HAVE to be another lsd. Plenty of open diff options for less then...

What have you done to your P5 today?

It is a charcoal canister. I removed mine and rerouted the lines to bypass it. If you get under there you should be able to figure it out pretty easily. Its huge so moving it would be kind of hard to do. I had no CEL or anything when I removed mine and looped the lines. I cut the whole spare...

    What diffuser is this?

that DIY "diffuser" on the P5 looks awful. The whole "diffuser just for looks" thing is weird to me When I was still working on my P5 I was in the process of making a rear diffuser but something that would actually help guide air and make room for my center exit exhaust, If you want to have...

looking for a machine shop near Charlotte NC

I live in Charlotte NC but havent personally used any machine shops here yet. I have a few builds that need machine work so I have been looking around and cant really find any solid answers. Seems like not too may people actually build their own cars anymore unfortunately.

    Brian_K's Build Thread

I ran mine under the rear subframe too. s*** was ungodly loud, but the turbo whistled like a 18wheeler. Seeing your progress makes me want to work on mine. Im just too lazy though

What have you done to your P5 today?

You say that, but once you do it the first time, next time you may not even need to label them lol most plugs are pretty self explanatory, one or two hidden down on the trans but thats it. Vacuum lines are pretty self explanatory as well, most only fit in certain spots.

    The Never Ending Build

Nothing at all man lol I havent had time to work on it. Been trying to fix the MSP up and get it ready for sale so I can get the funds back I need to continue on the swap. I kind of regret making this build thread so early on because its going to be a bunch of big gaps in time before I have any...

Looking into a msp looking for feedback

I dont know how many cars you have owned or what they were....but a MSP is going to be the worst of them. When they run good, its great. Awesome car, decent acceleration. When they run bad, its a nightmare. Ive worked on more then I care to remember and there are alot of specific things to...

    The Never Ending Build

Thanks man! but nah not too many parts, just random couplers and clamps. Nothing really of any usefulness lol Im hoping to do an interesting turbo setup on the P5 but since its only show car mainly....kinda thinking of just doing ITBs. Not sure yet lol

    The Never Ending Build

Have an update after almost 2 months lol Pulled the motor out and getting it ready to go into my MSP so I can sell it. Also will be pulling basically everything out of the engine bay of the P5. Wiring, brake booster, MC, brake lines, everything. Then I can get to work on shaving all the holes...

    Just another yellow P5 build...

Its going to get pretty loud with the header. I have a header to stock catted midpipe to an aftermarket muffler tucked under the bumper, and its still quite loud for being mainly stock exhaust It sounds okay, but def sounded better without the header

    The Never Ending Build

It wont be spicy orange but similar I suppose. Really dont want to go to a stock-ish color, but orange is really the only other color I can think of besides green again. and for the wheels, if you are trying to put a 205/45 on an 8", that will be no problem at all. The 45 series will help with...
