    Canadian gas usage

Only had the car for a month now and have a little over 700kms on it. Not really impressed with fuel economy I'm getting. I have the GT-AWD. Now reading 10.1 and 'B' reading is 10.2. Haven't reset B since taking possession. I just registered my first fill up last week on fuelly so ill track it...

    Trip computer doesn't reset all?

Thanks for the info. Should have first read the manual... In my old car (VW Passat), a reset, reset all for that 'trip counter'. No need to go thru each one in the set.

    Trip computer doesn't reset all?

I've only had my GT-AWD for a couple of weeks now and still < 500 kms on it. Finally got it out for a ride on the highway this afternoon 100kms each way. Before heading out I reset the trip A readings. I kept an eye on the 'current' litres/100 as I drove and never saw it go over 9. Stayed at...

    Burning odor in reverse

Only had my car for a couple of weeks now and really haven't driven it much. Only 250 kms on the odometer. I find that there's an odd smell that enters the cabin when going in reverse. Almost like burning rubber. No other odd smells when started, parked and running or in drive. I only really...

    DIY Cargo cover

Re:...version 2.. It's in the design stage. Having an engineer draw up the plans now as we speak. Corrugated board and snaps... That's all I can say for now...patent pending design. (2thumbs) Geeze, can't a guy get a break on this forum??

    Winter Mats over Weathertechs?

Placing any other rubber mats over the weathertechs won't work: the top mat simple slides around too much. It may be okay for passenger or rear, but too dangerous for the driver side.

    DIY Cargo cover

Ours are also tinted and fairly dark in the rear too. Anyone with a flashlight can still peek as to what you have in the trunk.

    DIY Cargo cover

LOL! Yeah I know! Looks like s***! :) Actually looks better in person! LOL!! (rlaugh) Then again, I don't actually see it when I'm driving. It does the job at covering up the rear from prying eyes. Did not want to have a blanket to throw on/off as it would probably end up dirty and always in...

    DIY Cargo cover

I wanted to get the OEM rear cargo cover but the price (in Canada) was close to $300. On-line I've seen it for about half that. Still more than what I wanted to spend. So I put one together instead! :) Total cost < $40. I picked up an extensible shower curtain rod (at Walmart) and fit it into...

    Wheel nuts size

Thanks and no. Hoping to find one under the tree this xmas:)

    Wheel nuts size

Anyone know what size key I'd need to remove the wheels? I'll be installing winter tires on separate rims and usually swap them out myself when I'm ready. (instead of having to wait for hours at most tire places). I know I can use the wrench that came with the CX5 but I'd rather use my own...

    Door sills

I am considering getting the LED version of the door sills. Does anyone know how to connect them for power? I assume they'd be connected to the same power source / switch when the doors are opened. Anyone have detailed instructions on how to do this?
