anyone now what this unconnected connector is for ? 2012 CX-9

No headlight washers or front parking sensors on 2012 GT. Not really sure what it is for except it appears to be connected someway to the hood release.

anyone now what this unconnected connector is for ? 2012 CX-9

If I am looking at the correct location, mine is connected from a connector than runs from that location to the hood release. See my two pictures.

    SiriusXM reception problems?

We experience reception problems with our 2012 and had our dealership check it to find nothing wrong. I always wondered if it is something with caching of data or something. I do not have the problem with my factory OEM xm service in my 2007 Saab 9-5 on the same routes. It is weird but we...

New Member here: I just test drove a cx 9 signature - "dreadful A/C" is correct

If it wasn't for the AC I think there was a 95% chance we would have purchased the new CX-9, but just could not due to the AC performance. The signature series that we were looking at and ultimately would have purchased has since sold; somebody thought the AC was fine enough for them!! By the...

    Spied: 2017 Mazda CX-9

We test drove the XC90 and it was much better than the CX-9 but weird enough not as good as our current CX-9 (from our observation).

    Spied: 2017 Mazda CX-9

Potentially very true, but we won't know until we try!! It will be a while because the specs we want are not available and with only under 10 F-Paces even available within 300 miles of me it will be a while for us to think about it. I doubt the Jaguar can't be any worse than my two Saabs and...

    Spied: 2017 Mazda CX-9

Earlier in the week we went ahead and drove the Signature trim while test driving other vehicles as we consider a replacement for our 2012 Mazda CX-9. After driving it (New Orleans area - 95 degrees) a while my wife said that the AC does not seem to work as well as our 2012 or the other cars we...

5 Cars No One Wants to Buy Anymore

I agree that it is weird the 2015 CX-9 was listed in the article as there is very limited inventory of 2015s still out there. I would slightly disagree that there is no one that wants the 2015 anymore. There are a few obvious advantages to the "old" CX-9, albeit a few, such as more usable...

    2016 awd system

Does anyone know the details of the 2016 awd system compared to the 2007-2015? If so, would appreciate details.

    Another tire thread

My local Firestone that I have used for tires before matched the dealer price but on the Dueler Ecopia 422s so I went ahead and had them installed yesterday.

    Another tire thread

I have right at 51,000 on our 2012 Mazda CX-9 AWD with original Bridgestone Dueler H/L 400s. We live in New Orleans so we rarely (once every 10 years) get ice/snow. Overall, I have been satisfied with the Dueler's. They still have most probably enough tread for another 15,000 miles but since...

Can someone confirm that this CX-9 is indeed a Grand Touring trim?

My 2012 is a GT without NAV and has the same stereo as above.

    CX9 transmission fluid flush?

I normally do all of my maintenance but I had my 2012 transmission flushed at the dealer using their flush machine about two weeks ago. I have 35,000 miles and will most probably just have it flushed by them every 30,000 or so. It was right at $200.

    CX9 transmission fluid flush?

I have a 2012 with right under 35,000 miles and I am going to have the dealer flush it in the next month. Cost is right at $200. I personally think it is worth it as we are planning on keeping this vehicle for a long time. Others might disagree buti think it is worth it if you plan on keeping...

2007~2015 Changing CX-9 transfer case gear oil (photos)

Tried this today with the OTC suction gun; the original method avidien used. I just don't feel like I got enough of the old gear oil out as it is just so little oil in it, but filled as avidien did and kept filling until some of it starting coming out and did a little bit longer. The location...

2007~2015 Changing CX-9 transfer case gear oil (photos)

Thanks for the info. Our 2012 just hit 30,000 miles. I changed out the rear differential oil a few weeks back. I think I will also need to do this soon. I doubt our local dealers will do it as 90+% are FWDs in this area. I am so curious if the "new revised ones" have more oil in the case...

    2012 CX9 using oil

I also have a 2012 and have noticed the same thing. I have noticed when I had the dealer change twice and also when I changed twice. I am at 20k miles. I have been keeping an eye on it also...more often than I had to do with any other vehicle. I also wonder what is up with this.

Price for CX-9 Touring, FWD with Tech package

My thoughts are the price will go down some more as the new ones roll in but most probably not a bunch. The only problem is if you are picky on color the inventory typically becomes less. I wonder if the 2015 is a complete redesign or is that coming in 2016.
