    For me the Mazda coolant is cheap insurance. Have you seen what is involved with changing the water pump? Why take a risk with different coolant?

    But if you are doing drain and fill only, the proper amount is about 3.3 quarts. Is your 2011 a transmission that has no dipstick? If so, search the forums for the proper way to check the level.

    I cannot believe it but am at 73k and still going. Probably replace soon but not yet down to wear indicators. They have been rotated and balanced a few times during their life.

    Towing Question(s)

    Not sure about the 2014 towing package but for the 2012s there was a separate towing package that includes a larger radiator. It was not standard on the GTs. My 2012 is a FWD version with the towing package. Search these forums and do your homework before buying a 1st generation AWD.
