[UK] 2012 Diesel (175PS) AWD CX-5, 73,333 miles, Have you had this problem?

For what it's worth, my VIN is JMZKExxxxxx122196 and registered July 2012 so definitely fell in to the 'affected vehicles' bracket!

[UK] 2012 Diesel (175PS) AWD CX-5, 73,333 miles, Have you had this problem?

dad of jon I'd had all the bits and bobs you've haddone, several recall fixes etc., serviced twice a year due to my mileage, and always kept an eye on the oil levels. This breakdown came out of the blue, but on further searching, it seems it's an historic issue for Mazda 2.2d engines (found...

[UK] 2012 Diesel (175PS) AWD CX-5, 73,333 miles, Have you had this problem?

Mazda have responded late yesterday afternoon and are footing the bill 100% for new injector seals, injector piping, camshaft, turbo and oil strainer. So a pleasing outcome on that.

[UK] 2012 Diesel (175PS) AWD CX-5, 73,333 miles, Have you had this problem?

Dr_Watson I have a VIN number that falls under the Vacuum/Turbo/Camshaft service info doc and had the Vacuum Pump replaced at my last service along with a software update for "runaway revs at idle" as part of two recalls. I'm told however my current issue is different (although still affects...

[UK] 2012 Diesel (175PS) AWD CX-5, 73,333 miles, Have you had this problem?

Update: Just back from picking up courtesy car from Mazda dealer. Took in the Service Information details regarding Camshaft/Turbo/Vacuum Pump and through a discussion with the service guy, it sounds similar but is from an "old campaign" which led to the recall on the Vacuum Pump which was...

[UK] 2012 Diesel (175PS) AWD CX-5, 73,333 miles, Have you had this problem?

Thank you AdzamOZ, the Service Information sheet is very interesting, I had the work done for the Vacuum Pump at my last service so I wonder why the rest wasn't checked out (or whether it was and was fine) considering my car falls under the VIN numbers affected?! Some fuel to go to Mazda with...

Oil filter Recall on 2.2D engine

I'd been complaining about vibrating gear stick when accelerating in 6th gear at 2,250rpm and over for years with no resolution (and now my warranty is over)! Unfortunately I appear to have now succumb to a 2012 spec related camshaft disintegrates in to sump and kills turbo and engine problem...

    Engine Oil Rise

Oh damn, maybe this is what's happened to mine, I created a thread today asking if anyone else had experienced what happened to my CX-5 this week... http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123849187-UK-2012-Diesel-(175PS)-AWD-CX-5-73-333-miles-Have-you-had-this-problem

[UK] 2012 Diesel (175PS) AWD CX-5, 73,333 miles, Have you had this problem?

TBH I'd not looked at the engine oil related posts in over a year, so if it's a more recent occurrence that people are having similar parts replaced then I'll have a look back, thanks! Edit: oh bugger, there appear to be a few similarities! :s

[UK] 2012 Diesel (175PS) AWD CX-5, 73,333 miles, Have you had this problem?

Thanks for the input, but this is not related to the engine oil rise issue or DPF regens which I was already aware of. Have heard from the dealer a few minutes ago and currently it's looking like camshaft and turbo replacement required and an oil strain. Just about to start stripping it down to...

[UK] 2012 Diesel (175PS) AWD CX-5, 73,333 miles, Have you had this problem?

My car is currently in with dealer after a troublesome commute to work on Monday morning. A timeline of events: Vehicle System Inspection Required Engine Oil Pressure Low Engine Inspection Required Car enters 'Limp Home' Mode It's been mentioned that the start point may be to remove the sump...

Oil filter Recall on 2.2D engine

Mine failed the vacuum pump test so had to be replaced. Both recalls were done when it was in for service. No charge despite being out of warranty though as they are designated recalls. About 320 for 75,000 service (which is a major service) including two new front wipers was a bargain in my...

Oil filter Recall on 2.2D engine

Had my 75,000 mile service a few weeks ago and at the same time sorted two recalls which were: 1. Brake related vacuum pump/valve 2. Software update to counter 'runaway revs on idle'

How many Brits? Fancy a cuppa?

About to hit 60,000 miles and still on my original front brakes and disks! Rears on the other hand I had to replace 10,000 miles ago as friction material had sheared off one of the pads!

Tyre Pressure Increase Pressure Dashboard Warning

I would... but I can't find it at the moment! :s Thanks, I'll give that a go. So it's just an intermittent reminder to check tyre pressures then?? It's a pretty persistent and annoying reminder considering I've kept the tyre pressures spot-on for the last 53,000 miles!

Tyre Pressure Increase Pressure Dashboard Warning

I have a warning appeared on my dash two days ago. It doesn't seem linked with the TPMS system. Tyres are at correct pressure for the 19"s (36psi front and back) and TPMS has been reset, however the message and it's accompanying 'Master Warning' light won't disappear. Anyone had similar? Know...

How many Brits? Fancy a cuppa?

I was literally told "the guys tightened a bush" the first time. The second time they couldn't see anything that was causing the vibration but had the whole thing apart, cleaned and re-greased to see if that'd work which it did for 2 weeks, then came back, but admittedly not as loud as it was...

How many Brits? Fancy a cuppa?

Gareth45, i have vibration in the gearstick in 6th gear when accelerating between 2,000 and 2,250 rpm. Have had it in to local dealer in Derby where they 'tightened a bush' which got rid of it for about a month and was looked at again by dealer in Cumbria as part of my 50,000 mile service, said...

    Rear brakes gone at 15k..

Had to replace my rear brake pads and disks at 48,000 miles (UK) but that was only because of a pad failure (friction material sheared off leading to metal-on-metal action). Have done plenty of driving on gritted winter roads (2 whole winters). The front pads and disks were checked at it's last...
