I have the top part of the grill covered, bottom is open.

Sigh, no garage at home, no plug-in at work. My city has had about 30 days of -30C weather this winter season. It's surprising the number of people who don't cover their grill on their vehicles.

I don't know where you live, but if I did that, the engine in my vehicle would physically vibrate until it warmed up while driving. For instance the windchill this morning was -38C, -30C in the afternoon. I cannot plug in my vehicle at work, so I have to let it warm up for at least 5 minutes...

2013 2.0 GT AWD does ok in mud, sand should be fine.

My Canadian manual has same spare tire specs as listed by CX-SV, specs in Europe might be different. A full size tire on a wheel will not fit under the tire cover panel.

I'm averaging 25 UK mpg, which is double from my old car city driving, average speed is something like 30 km/h. Its cold, were idling lots. so i'm not too surprised.

So far I have no issues with studded winter tires on icy/snowy conditions city driving. No off-roading yet, I'm curious how it will perform. I could go through deep snow in my '97 legacy outback though, but different AWD system so who knows what will happen...
