    AWD system and spare tire

Hi guys I recently had a tire blow out (hit a curb) and had to use the spare for the passenger side front tire. After putting the spare on (in the rain, of course), my cx5 made a howling sound a low speeds. I thought i had damaged the front hub bearing. Today (50 miles of driving on the...

Are ya'll sticking with synthetic oil?

I wish Mazda spec'd a greater level of filtration. This is only conjecture on my part however have you taken a look at the filter? Its itty-bitty, teenie-weenie. Seems to me we could get more miles between an oil change with a larger filter because the one we have surely cannot hold much dirt...

not as impressed with Mazdas 'initial quality' as I used to be

Ta240, I've the same issue with the driver side leather. It has come off at the front of the seat (under your legs), like it was never tucked/tacked in correctly. Also the hatchback is just a little off center Someone mentioned the dust magnet dash.. I had to lol at that, I've taken a...

North America CX5 Owners: Would you trade-in your current gas SUV for a diesel one?

I thought about this and my answer is no. Just not worth it. I purchased this vehicle to commute and daily drive. For those reasons it is almost perfect. More power would certainly be nice however there is a myth with diesel longevity and the exhaust stinks. To top it off here in southern...

Normal, but do an a/b test, does it drip fluid when the a/c is off?

Possible engine bases used for skyactiv engnes.

I just wiki'd this, seems ford has rights to the mzr design and is continuing work whereas Mazda stopped their development of the engine for the skyactiv family. If you have pics of the focus 2.0, pls post, I would like to note the similarity. Thx

    Ok, Gas Mileage SUCKS!

After 1700 miles I am happy to observe excellent mileage. Best tank, 33.6 (avg) worst, 28.5 (avg). Now, here are my qualifiers, I drive like grandma in this vehicle. And I find that I really enjoy driving the cx5 like she would, its just a nice car to slow down with. I can't believe...

    Octane Rating

Yeah, I know what you mean. Sounds like a noobish thing to think and i know enough to know that typically cr is limited mechanically however I thought I read somewhere where the skyactiv design is a variable cr design. Apparently this is possible from what little I can read on the internet...

    Octane Rating

it sure would be nice for mazda or an aftermarket tuner to release somthing that would allow us to program the engine for 14:1 as I understand is possible with the skyactiv engine. i'd be willing to pay a little extra for 91 octane for a little extra performance and efficiency.
