    Detailing Products

Zaino is good stuff - pricey but good. While most of this thread has been about OTC products, boutique lines are definitely worth a look as well if you have the budget- Zaino, Auto Finesse, Optimum, Adam's, Sonax, & 1Z - just to name a few - all make great products that are worth the price of...

    2013 CX-5 Detailed

Thanks for the kind words. If it sits outside all of the time and you're worried about contamination like that, have you looked into coatings like Opti-Coat or Cquartz? They're incredible products and you don't have to worry about dirt, contamination, or even waxing/sealing for a very long...

These wheel cleaners are professional grade and completely safe for the clear coated Mazda OEM rims: Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner 1Z ColourTec P21S Wheel Gel Cleaner My preference is the 1Z product, which I used to detail a CX-5 here

    2013 CX-5 Detailed

It worked great! The car was almost entirely pink after about 10 minutes...lol. So I did a second pass just to make sure I got it all - and it came up almost completely clean. Rinsed away easily as well. Smells like grim death, though...I mean it smells BAD.

    Key Fob Battery.

I think it's somewhere in the manual. The dealer told me verbally and I later confirmed it by popping out the fob battery and trying it myself.

    Key Fob Battery.

There is no key slot on the CX-5. If the fob battery is dead: Hold the fob againt the dash, just above the Start/Stop button, and then start the car as you normally would.

    CX-5 Short Ram Intake released

This. To me, a short ram makes small displacement engines sound anemic in the low end and buzzy/annoying nearer the top end. They're like fart cans for the front of your car.

    0 to 62 in 9.4 seconds

Not even close. The most popular cars in Germany are the smaller VW's - Golf...Jetta...Polo...Passat, etc. The Ford Focus is popular there as well. (all of which comfortably drive the Autobahn system). Averaging out the horsepower ratings across the top 10 selling cars in Germany rounds to...

    0 to 62 in 9.4 seconds

If original 1960's VW Beetles can still merge onto highways with no real issues, a 2012 CX-5 will be able to do it just as confidently. I personally have had no issues with merging or overtaking - power output is fine. It doesn't take a Corvette ZR1 to merge properly - rest assured any car...

    GT trim production hiatus

Haven't heard of a tire shortage. Every auto manufacturer in the world IS expecting production delays resulting from a fire at a German factory that produces the material (called PA-12) that is used in brake and fuel lines, among other parts. Once vehicle inventory begins to deplete, at around...

Stick shift - brake release +500 RPM ??

Sounds like it's just the vacuum system, that's all. I've never sat in a car where the RPMs didn't vary a little when pumping the brakes at idle.

I know, it's the honeymoon period, but...I LOVE IT!

We have something similar in the US (but not as exhaustive, unfortunately), but the results tend to be useless - many auto magazines take massive kickbacks from manufaturers on the backend. You, the consumer, read a glowing review for Car X - all the while the reviewer got free hotel suites...

    CorkSport Products for the CX-5

That depends on your right foot. The SRI itself will hardly make a difference one way or the other.
