Snow with my 2016 CX-9 issues

Great find! Make sure the results and explanation get posted. I've never seen an AWD system behave like that!

What would happen if you hit the start button going down the freeway?

This sums it up... I made sure I was in a situation (god forbidding) that I wasn't going to need to apply my brakes. Steering went slightly heavy, but at spend with narrow rubber it was still completely drivable. I had to hit the start button to bring the engine back on.

What would happen if you hit the start button going down the freeway?

Did this a couple weeks ago since nav was being odd and I wanted to hard reboot it. - 70mph, put the car in neutral, hit start, shut the car off. - Coasted for a quick few seconds (still in neutral), car fired right back up. Now had I known pulling the SD card would have done the same...

Time to change tires - recommendations anyone?

Just had the Pirelli Cinturato P7's installed... I drive a TON, getting nearly 50k miles out of the A23's. I wanted to see how much further I could stretch fuel consumption, so opt'd for both a LRR and OEM size to see if I could get even a marginal uptick in mileage. The 700TW was a bonus, but...

    3,400 Mile Calculation.

Lots of calculating just to determine an average speed. ;)

Does mileage increase on the CX-5 after break in period??

Yes... My CX-5's mileage both got noticeably better, as well as performance, once I crossed over the 1,000+/- mile marker.

    Long distance road trip protection

45k miles on my `13, where I'm on the highway non-stop for work. VERY few chips to my front end, which should disprove any soft-paint theory.

How long do OEM tires last?

No more road noise then on the day I bought it.

    Bye,bye CX5....

Folks, these seats are average by far. Go sit in a new Altima, Pathfinder, or Rogue... Nissan has NAILED what a great seat is in a fair priced vehicle. I live in my CX-5 and the seats are the only complaint I have. Not enough to get rid of the car, but I do wish they offered more in regardless...

front door insulation foam soaked in water, frozen and torn

I'd bring it in. I guarantee that wasn't supposed to do that.

How long do OEM tires last?

I can support this. I just turned 40k miles this week, and am just now coming up on the wear bars. I might get another 5-10k out of these. The new Pirelli 800tw looks tempting as replacements.

    The CX5 is no more

Got a raise at work, wasting it on extra gas... Nice!

Can your 2.0L fwd Cx5 auto do 30mpg real world at 70mph?

38k miles and I was doing 28-29 mpg into a headwind this week at 20 degrees. Warm day, no wind and I'm knocking on 33-34 without trying.

    Windshield Wiper Fluid Not Working

This. Our tank stays cold in the front of the bay, and has a hard time coming up to engine bay temps. Mine froze a couple weeks ago, and thawed once we got back over forty degrees. Shame on me for not running a -32F blend.

    Topping off the tank

A few testers have already disproved that fact in the manual, as a couple have ran the tank dry and noted that the miles remaining is wickedly accurate. Just to self-validate, I ran mine to zero and it took 15.1 gallons. Assuming the 14.8 gallon tank, plus a third of a gallon up the feeder...

    Hugely disappointed.

You got a chance to drive it at an auto show??? Oh wait. (uhm)

Could be a big competitor: The 2014 Nissan Rouge

Reliability - Mazda and Nissan are dead-even. Consumer reports scores can be highly impacted by initial product quality, which can be modified by something as simple of how easy it is to use a nav unit. CR is a HORRIBLE representation of comparing automotive long-term reliability...

    2015 CX-5 Interior Changes

Most every bottle of water I buy fits in those... You carrying along the 40oz big slurps? :D

    Better A/S rubber

Anyone that has gone with a wider tire, but stayed with a 55-series, can you share your ride impact? You're technically now running a taller sidewall, and should have ever-so-slightly impacted your speedo. I was thinking a 235/50 might have been the more obvious choice.

Dealer put 5w20 syn-blend oil during oil change...

In this case, candidly, the dealer is right... Your CX-5 will be fine. That said, next go around, you might ask that they do it by the book. :) http://www.kewengineering.co.uk/Auto_oils/oil_viscosity_explained.htm Your operating weight is the same (20), thus your mileage will NOT be impacted...
