Seeking Mazda6 Advice and Info. Seriously considering buying a low miles recent year

Thanks Mazdadude. I appreciate it! For the first 3 years of owning my Mazda2, the computer was always 1-2 mpg to my benefit when figuring MPG. I religiiously tracked the mileage and compared both methods consistently with discrepancies.

Hey desertmike680. What did you end up paying for your sport? Can you typically get a good deal on the 6's since they are the top end sedan? Thanks in advance!!!

oh I would go for the manual in a heartbeat if I was the main driver. The main reason for parting with the Mazda2 is my wife psoriasis has worsened on her clutch foot.

Seeking Mazda6 Advice and Info. Seriously considering buying a low miles recent year

Currently own a 2012 Mazda2 touring 5- speed bought new 11/2011. I love it and it's been very dependable and economical. However, I now have the bug to own the Mazda6 with more room and perhaps one of the best looking cars on the road. I just don't know much about their reliability and what...

    Mazda 2 decision making help

Having previously owned a '03 GTI anniversary edition and '04 R32, you would think I would pass the 2 off as novelty car. However I like this care so much more. The VW's were not reliable and right out of the box, I had problems with them that thankfully were covered by the warranty. Had that...

40 mpg. What is the trick?

40 mpg. What is the trick?

this being the case, you would think that the government released mpg's would be better than 35mpg.

40 mpg. What is the trick?

And I thought you were one of them. I didn't mention that most of that trip was using A/C 85% of the time. So 37mpg doing that intakeless and skip plateless ain't too shabby! Besides those add-ons would sure void the warranty. And that alone has more value then the extra 2-3 mpg in(rockon) fuel...

40 mpg. What is the trick?

Thank you for the sensible reply! I was in part confused with seeing so many 40+ tank fulls on Fuelly.com. I wonder whether those are moded out cars ( I doubt it) or areas of town where the limits are 55mph. Or miscalculations. I'm not about to modify the car but was trying to accomplish what so...

40 mpg. What is the trick?

I haven't posted in a while but felt the need to after my recent 3 fuel ups. My 2 in the touring edition 5 speed and 37-38 mpg was the best the little car has done on the highway. If the posted speed on the highway is 75 it has to be almost mathematically impossible for the 2 to get 40-40+ mpg...

    Rattle in the Dash...Anyone else?

try testing the rattle by sitting in place in your seat with nothing turned on and close the door. My rattle could be noticed when just doing this.

Looking at buying a 2 soon and had a question...

Touring all the way. Get the 5-speed also. The shifter is unquestionably one of the finest feeling shifters around. I cannot imagine driving this car with anything other than a manual shift. Now go get you one.

    Body Side Moulding

Just wondered if anyone had tried to add some protective body side molding to their 2? I saw some by doing a simple google search and it didn't look bad at all. Haven't seen it in person but the molding didn't mess up the geometric flow to the car. It can be had for around $115 which is cheap...

    mud flaps

ok. For anyone still interested in this thread. Here is the deal. The OEM Mud flaps are now installed and a perfect fit. Like Dr. Webster said all you need is a screwdriver. I also used a wrench. I removed the back wheels do the installation to make sure not to scratch the rear bumper...

    mud flaps

just wondered if the dealer mud flaps are the only way to go or if there are some to be found elsewhere that are just about the same for less. Thanks!

    Rattle in the Dash...Anyone else?

No Modifications and haven't met any serious potholes. Turning up the radio???....eh??...well the car this new, one shouldn't have to listen to an annoying rattle. Now, I know that rattles are only covered by the warranty for the 12 mos./ 12,000 miles. Going to bring it in and ask that they call...
