    Gen 1 is definitely the more enjoyable drive...

    Gen 1 is definitely the more enjoyable drive between my 2014 and the 2019 GT loaner I had. I like to feel the road and I could do that better in mine.

    Just to be clear I don't do it in direct sun either. It's just been hot so I guess the panels are hot even garaged. Looks like early morning would be the best bet.

    I guess I am lucky. Factory windshield did chip easy, but the thing didn't crack for 4 years. The new windshield which is aftermarket, is even better and I have 1 chip after 2 years.

    As for purposeful speeding, did 110 through portions of I-80 in Wyoming. I wouldn't condone doing that these days...
