It should be able to play bass as per settings, it’s just not dampened enough for vibrations.

Looks like it’s been over filled from the last service. Use a couple of pliers to remove the caps and check the fluid level. Should be just below the breather galleries.

You should bring the car to a suspension specialist to have it looked at. I’d be starting with checking front struts and top strut mountings.
