It's 2017 and just over half their lineup have transitioned to 2017 models. Of course, no 2017 CX-9 yet. No 2017 CX-5 yet. Same with MX-5. Meanwhile, most of the rest of the industry switches over around the fall. Just one more thing that hurts sales.

Totally agree with you...production at Hiroshima plant just can't keep up. Accdg to dealer the Japan plant works on a schedule unlike other assembly plants that have dedicated manufacturing (ex. Toyota Indiana plant dedicated to specific models that manufacture continuously) vs Mazda that manufactures say weekly (this week only model 3s, following week CX5s, so on and so on)

I actually just signed up yest for a 2017 model and getting it next week. 2017 CX5s coming out in late March/April as production just started in Dec 2016 - ave build times and shipping takes 3mos unlike Ford or Toyota that only takes 8-10wks max
