2007 CX-9 Radio issues

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this yet. When I turn on the radio it sounds fine when I turn on the electric rear defogger the reception is affected. It sounds like it's breaking up staticy. Anyone else has had this. What might be the cause? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am asking this again in the hopes that somebody can help me. As the post above says I am having problems with my reception. It only happens on the fm band. The am is unaffected. When I turn on the rear electric defogger the reception is not as good and the sound is low and static. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

The antenna might be in the rear window, check to see if there isn't anything broken in the rear window, all the little lines in there. Otherwise you might have a bad connection or badly insulated wire on the antenna. First time i hear of this though
